Cafe Mundi: A Great Place to Find Yourself on a Autumn Day

September 16, 2009

Cafe Mundi 1

Mundi 2

At about 5 o’ clock yesterday, I found myself in dire need of a caffeine and I was told Cafe Mundi made a mean latte. So I rode up my little red scooter down E. 5th st, (the seemingly one way, but really two way street on the east side) and found parking right out front. The setting in front was wonderful. Trees acted as a canopy from the still hot sun and the tables were spread far enough away from each other that each person was in their own world. I was lucky enough (really, not sarcastic) to sit next to a clarinet player who, with his string playing friend were working on a Greek compilation. It was a fantastic listening experience. I then wandered inside and ordered a pumpkin-spice latte and pumpkin bread. The latte could have been a little warmer, but otherwise it was delicious and the pumpkin bread light, fluffy and filled with pumpkin and spices. I can’t wait to go back.

The place looks absolutely charming and quite delicious — Pumpkin-Spice Latte with Pumpkin Bread — how autumnal. I’m enjoying your blog immensely and looking forward to the next entry.
